Safeguarding

We are committed to maintain a safe, inclusive and positive environment and accept a responsibility to help safeguard the welfare and well-being of young people and protect them from harm.

Every three years, all Head Coaches attend safeguarding and first aid courses and all coaches have enhanced England Netball DBS checks.

Any advice or concerns can be reported to Eirin or John at safeguarding.gemininc@gmail.com

Safeguarding

Safeguarding Officer: Eirin Potgieter
I am so pleased to be part of the Gemini family as Safeguarding Officer. I have been a Police Officer for Wiltshire for the last 18 years and currently work in a job which safeguards the most vulnerable adults and children within our society, my experience puts me in a great position to advocate for your children as part of the wonderful netballing family that both Chrissy and Sharon have created.

My role is to advise Chrissy and Sharon on the best way to care and safeguard your children, although from what I have seen my job will be easy as both Sharon and Chrissy are dedicated to the wellbeing of your children and I am excited to be able to build on their work. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any concerns or issues and hopefully, I will meet some of you over the coming weeks and months.

Safeguarding Officer: John Ellis
John lives in Durrington and is married to Laura. Both their daughters play at Gemini. John enjoys sports and socialising.

Sport has been a big part of johns life playing football and cricket. John volunteered as disciplinary officer last year to help build the club and committee. This year he has taken on this role again alongside safeguarding for the club.
