Our Dream Began
We started setting up our club in January 2020 and planned for our first season with great excitement.
Founding Sponsor
We were delighted to secure our founding sponsor Gloworm Solutions Ltd (https://www.glowormsolutions.com/).
Lockdown 1
The world started changing and we went into lockdown in March 2020. We continued planning and adding to our online presence with a fun competition and Bee netball challenges from England Netball.
Launch Party
The UK entered a tier system in October 2020 and we could finally get on court! We worked hard behind the scenes following England Netball and Andover Leisure Centre guidelines and devised our Covid-19 guidelines. We held successful launch parties on 14th October which were hugely popular and had coverage from Love Andover Radio and Observer.
Lockdown 2 – home netball challenges
We made sure we had as much fun as possible in training as unfortunately the UK went into a second lockdown in November and December. We kept in contact with our new members and posted a few netball challenges they could do at home.
Lockdown 3 – Zoom netball sessions
We were gutted when the UK went into the 3rd Lockdown in January 2021. We continued to stay positive and we provided free weekly Zoom sessions for our members. This was so much fun but challenging and a fast learning curve to virtual coaching.
Back on Court!
We were delighted to have our whole summer term back on court with 75 children and 4 new adults eager to learn to coach.
Charity Donation
We were very grateful for a charity donation from the The Jamie G Sporting Trust, which allowed us to purchase new equipment and we held a cheque presentation on Monday 28th June 2020.
